The Dinner will feature the announcement of the recipients of the COACH Scholarships, recognising academic excellence and leadership.

The dinner will be preceded by the Annual General Meeting at 6.00 p.m. where the report of the Committee and plans for the next year will discussed.

Members will remember how much difference it made when they were recognised with any sort of scholarship during their studies, whether for academic or sporting excellence, or otherwise – a small prize can make just the difference to take up an extra sport, extra society, hobby or the like. Therefore, when buying tickets for the dinner, we ask you to consider donating to the COACH Scholarship Fund, to continue this good work. The society give out scholarships of ca. £350, supporting students with the most outstanding academic merit, leadership potential (as evidenced by society work or otherwise) and financial need. They are accepting donations via the tax 1% scheme: please consider offering 1% of your (Hungarian) taxes to the C.O.A.C.H. Association (tax number 19167312-1-43) when filing your tax return. If you cannot participate at the Dinner, a donation to the Scholarship Fund in lieu would be most appropriate.

AGM Agenda 

As the Cambridge–Oxford Alumni Club of Hungary (in the UK) and the Cambridge–Oxford Magyar Alumni Klub Egyesület (in Hungary) are registered associations, an Annual General Meeting is to be held each year, where, amongst other things, the new committee is elected and the financial accounts are approved.

Notice is hereby given to members that the Annual General Meeting will be held preceding the Annual Dinner, on 22 April 2025, from 6 p.m. at the same venue, Brody House (1088 Budapest, Bródy Sándor utca 10.). If the AGM does not reach quorum, a General Meeting will be held at 6.15 p.m. on the same day at the same venue, which will be quorate regardless of the number of Members present.

The Agenda is as follows:
1. Opening and electing the officers of the AGM (the Speaker, the Secretary etc.)
2. Voting on the Agenda
3. Discussing and Voting on the Annual Report of the Committee and the proposed Budget
4. AOB and Closing

It is possible to attend the AGM and not the dinner.
