On the 27th April 2024 we welcomed a small but appreciative audience who enjoyed a highly informative and amusing talk by Lucy Lewis followed by a delicious lunch. 

Lucy spoke about the life that had led her to become the first woman bomb disposal officer in 2018, and now the first woman Marshall of Cambridge University, describing some interesting stories, along the way, about her time as an Adjutant in the Military Police. Lucy told us about new skills she had learnt in this male dominated world how to drink and work with weapons, how to avoid cowpats when crawling across mine infested fields.
