Join us for an insightful Newnham Conversation about the importance of ‘green’ ethics and sustainability in finance. The conversation will be chaired by alumna, Beatriz Araújo (Newnham 1979), formerly partner and Head of Corporate Governance at Baker McKenzie and will be between two fellow Newnham alumnae who are at the forefront of UK financial governance: Sarah Breeden, (Newnham 1987), Deputy Governor for Financial Stability at the Bank of England, and Dame Julia Hoggett, (Newnham 1993), Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the London Stock Exchange.

In this conversation, Beatriz, Sarah and Julia will discuss the role corporates play in advancing ethical finance and investment. They will examine how companies are integrating sustainability into their strategies, in particular into their financial practices, and the steps being taken to "green" financial systems, together with the broader implications for businesses as they navigate the shift towards more responsible and sustainable business models.

The discussion will then be followed by an audience Q&A session.
