Geneva - Wine tasting & dinner
Alumni and guests are invited to join the Oxford and Cambridge Club of Geneva for an evening of wine tasting, followed by a game meal at the Auberge de Choully.
The wine tasting will be held at the Domaine la Clé de Sol in Choully, almost directly across the street from the restaurant (18 route du Crêt-de Choully, tel 022 753 11 92); as the name suggests, the vigneron, Daniel Sulliger, is musical; he plays the hunting horn and gives weekly concerts in the village
Dinner menu:
- Terrine de gibier aux cornes d’abondance et garnitures
- Joues de sanglier braises aux châtaignes taglaitelles fraîches, legume
- Crumble pommes canelle
- Local wine (3 dl per person) Eau en carafe Coffee or tea
Participants are welcome at the winery from 18:15. We are expected at the restaurant at 19:30.

If you would like to attend this event please contact the Oxford and Cambridge Club of Geneva by email using the email link below. We would be grateful if participants could confirm specifically if they plan to attend the tasting as well as the dinner, so I can communicate numbers. Attendance at this event is limited to 20 participants (“first come first served”).
Please bring your COVID pass as well as a mask to be worn when not seated or actively tasting-we are not out of the woods yet.

Location
Choully is part of the municipality of Satigny, on a hill above the town itself. The road goes directly uphill from Satigny; the intersection with the route du Crêt-de-Choully is at the top of the hill.
The restaurant and winery are about 50 metres to the right of the intersection, on the left- and right-hand sides of the route du Crêt-de-Choully respectively.
Parking can be difficult but places are indicated along the route de Crêt-de-Choully. There are a handful of client spaces in front of the restaurant. Choully is served by bus 72 from the Satigny railway station, which is on the suburban line from Cornavin station to la Plaine. The buses connect with the train (5 minutes to change).

- Choully (the stop is very close to the restaurant)18:14 18:44 19:14
- (the last is late for the tasting but in good time for dinner). Return is hourly at 21:16, 22.16 and 23:16.
Members attending should please indicate if they can give, or need, a lift, and from where. I shall try to put you in touch with each other.
