Join historian Paul Beston on a journey through Wessex, exploring how the area has been so central to the sweep of English history.

From the neolithic world of Avebury, Roman and Georgian Bath and the mediaeval architectural marvels of Wells and Glastonbury, with encounters with the builders of Stonehenge, the goddess Sulis Minerva and her worshippers, the climbing angels of Bath Abbey and the mosaic makers of Roman Chedworth, you'll find there's no better route into England’s past.
