Brantwood is a historic house overlooking Coniston Water, now a museum dedicated to John Ruskin, the writer, philosopher, art critic and polymath of the Victorian era who will be the focus of our visit.
The visit will begin with a tour of the house at 1700, followed by two speakers, Dr Christopher Donaldson, Lecturer in Cultural History at Lancaster University and Dr Kurt Espersen-Peters who is Assistant Professor Department of Interior Design University of Manitoba, Canada who will speak about Ruskin and architecture, with a focus on the relationship between his ideas and the design of certain features at Brantwood.
We will end the evening with a three-course meal followed by tea and coffee.
The cost for this extended event with guided tour, talks and dinner is £59 a head.
