Bury St Edmunds - Talk by The Rt Revd Martin Seeley, Bishop of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich
Join the Suffolk Cambridge Society in the Edmund Room at Bury St Edmunds Cathedral on Thursday 21st November for a talk by The Rt Revd Martin Seeley, Bishop of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich. The Rt Revd Seeley (Jesus 1972) is a member of the Suffolk Cambridge Society and will be giving a reflective talk on his ministry in the Church of England and as Bishop since 2015. The Rt Revd Seeley has been a Lord Spiritual member of the House of Lords since March 2022. He is due to retire next year and the Soceity is very grateful that he has been able to reserve time in what will be a very busy period for him over the next few months.
The Rt Revd Seeley graduated from Cambridge in 1976 and entered Ripon College Cuddeston to study for ordained ministry. He then attended Union Theological Seminary, New York City, from which he graduated with a Master of Sacred Theology (STM) degree in 1978. In October 2018, he received the honorary degree of Doctor of Divinity from Berkeley Divinity School at Yale, New Haven.

Edmund Room is in the Cathedral Centre (access is via the Cloisters and take the lift or stairs to the first floor). There is a large car park at Ram Meadow, Cotton Lane, IP33 1XP.
