On 30th March 2024, from midday, the Derbyshire and Sheffield Cambridge Societies join forces to host a Boat Race Event in the beautiful setting of Chatsworth Park in the Peak District. The cost is £20 per person to include a buffet afternoon tea.

The venue is the Cavendish Hall in the village of Edensor in the grounds of Chatsworth House. The River Derwent flows through the beautiful parkland but, sadly, is not wide enough for two crews!  So instead we will view the build-up and the races on the Thames on a large screen in the Hall. We want this event to have the extra spice of Cambridge and Oxford rivalry, so we are throwing open the invitation to  alumni of Oxford living in or near the Peak District and all lovers of the Boat Race, whichever crew you support.

The Cavendish Club Bar will be available for liquid refreshment to fuel the friendly rivalry.
