London - An Evening of Art, Wine and Conversation
London - An Evening of Art, Wine and Conversation
The Cambridge Society of London is happy to invite you to another Society evening at one of our favourite venues, the Coningsby Gallery in Fitzrovia, on Monday 15th July. This promises to be a delightful way to wind down after work, mingling in this charming space with fellow Cambridge alumni whist enjoying some delicious bites and carefully chosen wine.
This time, we are pleased to present Snowflake’s Progress, the first solo exhibition by multi-award-winning cartoonist and illustrator Ben Jennings. This project is a contemporary adaptation of William Hogarth’s famous 18th-century work, A Rake’s Progress, and follows a recurring character over a series of 8 artworks that offer snapshots of British life set over the past 14 years of Tory rule. We are thrilled to have Andrew Coningsby, the gallery owner, on hand to provide more background on this captivating exhibition. For a sneak peek you can browse the the exhibition here.
The gallery will be open exclusively for our Society from 6pm to 9pm. Feel free to drop in when it suits you and stay for as long as you wish. We have a limit of 45 tickets available and as these sold out quickly the last time we were here we do recommend booking early to secure your spot(s).
This evening is a perfect opportunity to enjoy an elegant and creative environment, engage in stimulating conversations, and immerse yourself in thought-provoking art. We look forward to seeing you on 15th July for what promises to be another memorable event.
