Prague - May Castle Weekend
Prague - May Castle Weekend
“Lenten ys come with love to toune” (or "Spring may have come with love to town” for those of you not acquainted with Middle English), but what that means to us at OCAS is that the OCAS 2024 May Castle Weekend is almost upon us! This is a well loved OCAS tradition, when we take the opportunity to decamp out of Prague and visit one or two Czech castles for the short May weekend for dinner and talks in timeless surroundings.
This year, on the weekend of Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th May, we are returning to one of our favourites, Liblice castle, owned by the Czech Academy of Sciences, for a programme designed and administered by our very own Member, Dr. Radek Pelc (St. Anne’s Oxford, 1992). The weekend promises to be amazing, with a strawberry and cream reception at Liblice castle on arrival on Saturday afternoon, a chance to explore the grounds and gardens, a sumptuous dinner, and a series of ‘Wine talks’ after dinner, with an outing to the nearby Berchtold castle on the Sunday morning after breakfast before a return to Prague.
