Slowly we are moving towards the sporting event of the year between the two Universities - the Oxford and Cambridge University Boat Race, this year being held for the 169th time for the men and the 78th time for the women on Saturday March 30th 2024 from 1500 Prague time. 

Come and join us at the Art Nouveau Palace Hotel at Panská 12, Prague 1, to cheer on your University and come suitably attired! It’s the one event where you get to be partisan, so go for it! Closest tram stop is Jindřišská or Václavské náměstí and the closest metro is Můstek. Will Oxford’s Dark Blues reduce the deficit they have against Cambridge, whose men’s crew have won the race 86 times now against Oxford’s 81? Or will Cambridge stretch out the lead? And will OUWBC and its 30 victories catch up with Cambridge Women’s 47? The Women’s Race will take place at 15:46 Prague time and the Men’s Race at 16:46 Prague time and will be screened live! Last year Cambridge men beat the Oxford men by 1 1/3 lengths in a time of 18m 18s in a race that will earn its place in Boat Race history for the steering prowess of Cambridge cox Jasper Parish. And in the women’s race Cambridge retained their title for the sixth consecutive year, 4 ½ lengths ahead of their rivals. A clean sweep. But with Oxford men’s the bookies favourite at this time, is it time for a dark Blue win? Come along and find out.
