We are living in a time of war in Europe and of global tectonic shifts in power. What is happening, why is it happening, what does it mean for us, and where are we going? Sir Laurie Bristow will reflect on various aspects of the Russian Invasion of Ukraine and share his diplomatic experience to suggest long-term prospects of our new reality.

Laurie Bristow

Laurie Bristow became President of Hughes Hall in October 2022, following a 32 year career in the UK Diplomatic Service. He served as ambassador three times: to Afghanistan (2021), to the Russian Federation (2016-2020) and to Azerbaijan (2004-2007).
